Panthers spot on in Clinton Cup thriller
AFC Pensnett Panthers held their nerve to win a thrilling penalty shoot out against Wyrley Juniors Reserves to secure the Clinton Cup.
Normal regulation time failed to find an outright winner and following an additional thirty minutes extra time, the teams remained deadlocked at 2-2.
Panthers opened up a slender half time lead when Max Berrow converted but Wyrley were level just after the re-start, Bobby Khakh heading home a pinpoint cross from man of the match Tamari Maxwell.
Wyrley forged ahead for the first time in the tie on 67 minutes, the impressive Maxwell again the provider as Stefan Bernard nodded in from close range.
With time running out Pensnett surged forward in search of the equaliser and with the ball running loose in the box, skipper Scott Lloyd smashed the ball home with four minutes remaining to set up extra time.
Panthers held firm to net all four of their penalties and with Bernard and the unlucky man-of-the-match Maxwell seeing their spot kicks saved by the impressive Matt Bateman - the celebrations got underway as captain Lloyd received the trophy from league co-founder David Clinton to the delight of the watching Pensnett supporters.

Dynamo Treble Champs!
Dynamo Dudley are celebrating after another remarkable season in the Beacon Football League.
The Dudley based outfit have secured the treble, their second in three years and they did it in devastating fashion.
They started the celebrations rolling following a 6-0 win over Sandwell Action in the Lester Charity cup and despite trailing 2-0 with 20 minutes left in the Chell Cup, they turned on the style to sink a battling Claregate Park Rangers outfit by six goals to two.
The Championship was secured at the weekend and the club sealed the trophy remaining unbeaten throughout the season, scoring well over 100 goals in the process.
Congratulations to Dynamo Dudley from all at the Beacon Football League.

Six of the best for Dynamo
Dynamo Dudley have won the Lester Charity Cup for a record third succesive season following an emphatic 6-0 success over Sandwell Action.
Hat-trick hero and man-of-the-match Ben Hickman was the chief destroyer with goals in either half with Leon Naylor, a scorer in last year's final, putting the Dudley based outfit ahead after just 12 minutes of the tie. Captain Aaron Lloyd also got in on the act with Shawn Devonport weighing in amongst the goals.
Dynamo remain on course for a treble of trophies as favourites for the league title and they are also through to the semi finals of the Chell Cup.
